Fine silver & figural guilloche enamel Powder Compact Austria - Germany 6cm
A Vintage continental enamelled powder compact, the lid fiinely decorated and rendered in various enamel colours with a figural and landscape scene depicting a musican and two elegantly attired woman dancing to the rendition in a rural outlook. The silver base enamelled in a brilliant translucent pink hue accentuated by the guilloche silver. The lid is hinged with gilt mounts and mirror, the gilt metal interior includes a rotating lid for the powder compartment below the puff. The interior is marked with Metal, the compact mount with an unknown makers or Town mark plus the 835 silver mark. Most likely Austrian or Germany around 1910-20.
VG condition with light handling scratches on the surface, no chips, hairlines or restoration. The lid opens and closes as it should. Overall, a good, fine quality example approx 6cm w x 1cm w and 73gm
