Antique English sterling silver Pepper possibly R. Hennell 2nd 11cm
An antique English sterling silver pepper pot London 1844-5, the pear shaped body embossed with floral's within slightly lobed panels engraved with an undefined family crest and the word "PEPPER" applied to the neck. The pepper stands on a short circular pedestal base. The interior is gilt, the pierced screw on - off lid with finial and matching Hall Marks however the lid has a couple of marks absent due to the piercing. Good condition general scuffing and handling wear in keeping with age and use. Possibly made by Robert Hennell 2nd however the 2nd initial is ill formed on the body and within the lid its absent due to the piercing. Approx 11cm h and 4.4cm at widest point. Weight 66gm
