A 20th C revival enamel box produced in the traditional 18th C Bilston and Battersea manner.
Commissioned by the Gilbey Jubilee collection English Enamel HM QE2 Sovereign of the most excellent order of the British Empire, the interior with the inscription "For God and the Empire", Sheila M. Blackmore M.B.E. 1981, gold plated hinged lid with fine English transfers-enamels, the royal blue base with the backstamp. Minor scuff/scratch to base else in vg condt. Approx 6.2 cm x 3.4cm
