Norwegian STG silver gilt Plique-A-Jour twin handled Cup Marius Hammer 5cm
A Norwegian small sterling silver and gilt Plique-A-Jour twin handled Cup by Marius Hammer. This is a slender cone shape cup with a slightly domed gilt wash base, twin handles and rests on four feet all finely hand crafted with twisted and plain sterling silver wire and stamped 925 MH to the base. The enamels used for the body are combiation of alternating mauve with a slightly translucent smoky quartz colour, the small circular handle cells are of rose-red hue along with the feet. There are are few very small losses to the tiny feet enamel cells and some age gilt darkening-wear to the base which has been left undisturbed otherwise this small cup is in vg condition with no repairs. A most unusual piece of Marius Hammer.Plique-A-Jour.
