A vintage Japanese Damascene Compact depicting a finely detailed landscape scene inc Mt Fuji, Pagoda, Torii, bridge and Pines on a matt black ground. Light handling use with some surface wear, minor lid bump, light scratches and scuffing though generally in good condition for age and use complete with mirror, puff and gauze. Around 1960s. The compact approx 7.3cm w x 1.1cm h and 86gm
Note: the landscape scene could be carefully polished to highlight the brass detail more effectively if desired, however, it has been left as is to protect any possible over polishing to the matt black ground.
