A 20th C revival enamel box produced in the traditional 18th C Bilston and Battersea manner.
A larger rectangular shaped gilt hinged Halcyon Days Enamels box decorated with five colour scenes including:
Lid : The state coach returning from Buckingham Palace after the Coronation
Side - front: Windsor Castle
Side - Right: Balmoral Castle
Side - Left: Sandringham House
Side - Rear:The Palace of Holyroodhouse Edinburgh
The interior - text including:
The Silver Jubilee Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 and
The state coach returning from Buckingham Palace after the Coronation
The base includes the Halcyon Days backstamps, the box details and the hand numbered limited edition 925/1000 which also coincides with the British silver standard. A fitting number for a unique and distinguished box.
This fine enamel piece in vg+ condition includes the original Halcyon Days packaging box and certificate of authenticity with edition details.
