Bilston and Battersea 20th C revival box Happy Birthday Doves C 1970s
A 20th C revival enamel box produced in the traditional 18th C Bilston and Battersea manner.
A rounded shape Halcyon Days Enamels box, the lid decorated with a Happy Birthday message and 2 white doves (an emblem of peace) within a cream background. The turquoise base is supported by gilt/bronzed hinged mounts and the earlier Bilston and Battersea backstamp to the base. The mounts show some plating wear else box is in good condition. Approx 4.4cm w x 2.7cm h. C 1970-79.
